The beginning of the rub rail, which is 2" sched 40 type 316 split, with an 1 1/4" flat bar on top to make kind of a D section. Very strong, and very hard to pull in and fair, especially without scratching it up too much. Pre polished, and then polished again once it was on. Hawse hole in place on the bulwarks.
